At Eden Emerald Mortgages, we appreciate young minds and upcoming talent. We recognise that new generations have fresh insights and ideas, and have different ways of thinking that bring innovation and change to the mortgage broking industry. 

We want to attract eager, enthusiastic and bright people to join our growing team, and each year we offer a chance for applicants to win a cash prize as well as potential internship with us at EE Mortgages.

What Are We Looking For?

To apply for this scholarship, we ask that you submit an essay on "Innovative Financial Strategies for First-Time Homebuyers in Australia".  We would like to see submissions that showcase originality, creativity, and a deep understanding of the mortgage and finance industry. The ideal submission will provide well-researched and insightful ideas on how first-time buyers can navigate the challenges of high property prices, stringent lending criteria, and fluctuating interest rates. We encourage you to explore topics such as government grants, creative saving techniques, alternative financing options, and mortgage offset accounts.

Submission Requirements

• Word Count: The essay must be between 1,500 and 2,000 words.
• Originality: The submission must be original and not use AI-generated content. All ideas should be the applicant's own work, and any sources or references must be properly cited.
• Formatting: The essay should be typed in a standard font (such as Times New Roman or Arial), size 12, with double spacing. It should include a title and be submitted in a PDF or Word document format.

• 1st prize - $1,000
• 2nd prize - $500
• 3rd prize - $250

Paid Internship

Eden Emerald Mortgages is constantly on the lookout for exceptional talent, and some of our current staff have been recruited from our scholarship program. We strongly encourage applicants to put their best efforts into their submission, as we offer paid internships when we see excellent potential.

Who is Eligible to Apply?

Anyone aged between 18-25 with a keen interest in the mortgage and finance industry is eligible to apply. Those who are enrolled or have completed Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking are strongly encouraged to submit an application.

When Will the Winners Be Announced?

The applications will be carefully assessed after the submission date, and winners will be contacted via the details listed on the contact form on June 15, 2025. Scholarship prize money will be sent to the winners by July 15, 2025.
